Lithuanian Language Semester Course (Course A)

The course continues for two semesters, with 15 weeks each. A student can take one semester. The autumn semester begins in September and finishes in December while the spring semester in February and at the beginning of June respectivelly. The spring semester includes one week of Easter Holiday. 11 classes are held each week, and the duration of a single class is 2 academic hours (1.5 hours).
During the autumn semester, group A1 studies at level A2, group 2 at B1, and group 3 at B2.
During the spring semester, group A1 studies at level A2, group 1B at B1, group 2 at B2, and group 3 at C1.
- Students can also take the semester course from the spring semester (3February 2020).

- For advanced students, a practical module or an academic one is optional. In case of a low number of students, no division into modules is made, and the module that serves best for most of the students is applied.
Registration
- Students can sign up for the autumn semester until 2 September 2019.*
- Students can sign up for the spring semester until 2 February 2020.*

* Applicable for citizens of the European Union.
* Applicable for students who obtained the long-term visa of the Republic of Lithuania or can obtain it themselves.

- The timetable is available here.
- The deadline of application for students who need to obtain the long-term visa of the Republic of Lithuania through Vilnius University is 4 months prior to the beginning of the course.
- Students who take only part of the Lithuanian language semester course are not eligible to obtain the letter of intermediation. If a student who has previously received the letter of intermediation to obtain the long-term visa fails to attend the classes or discontinues his/her studies, the Department of Lithuanian Studies will notify the Migration Department.
